Rules

Who can enter
- Anyone living in Kuwait, 18 or over
- Solo, or teams of up to 3
- Up to 2 films per person
AI rules
- Any AI tools, for image, video, voice or music
- At least 80% of what we see is AI-generated
- Keep your prompts: finalists show their process
Content rules
- Original, made for this brief
- No real public figures and no deepfakes
- Respect Kuwaiti law, values and national symbols
Questions
Do I need to be a filmmaker?
No. If you can tell a story in 30 seconds, you can enter. Many AI tools have free tiers to get started.
Can I use real footage?
A little. At least 80% of what we see on screen must be AI-generated. Editing, colour and sound by hand are welcome.
How do I send my film?
Upload it to YouTube as Unlisted (or Public) and paste the link in the form. Vertical films become YouTube Shorts, and that's fine. If you make the Official Selection, we'll ask for the original file so it plays in full quality at NEXUS.
What language can my film be in?
Any language. If there is dialogue or voiceover that is not in English, add English subtitles, burned into the video.
Can I enter as a team?
Yes, up to 3 people. The prize goes to the team lead.
Do I have to register before I submit?
No, but registering gets you the brief pack and reminders before the deadline.
Who owns my film?
You do. You give MCG and NEXUS permission to screen and share it, always with credit to you, to promote the festival.
